Review guidelines

Camper reviews help the next person decide whether a campground fits their rig and their trip. Every review is written by a signed-in camper and read by a person before it goes live, usually within a day.

What we approve

  • Your own stay, within the last three years.
  • Honest experience, good or bad. We never reject a review for being negative.
  • Practical detail: how your rig fit, the site surface, shade, noise, cell signal, what you paid.

What we reject, and why

  • Personal information: names of staff or other campers, phone numbers, emails, plates.
  • Off topic: nothing about the campground or the stay.
  • Not a real stay: reviews of a place you didn't stay at, or second-hand stories.
  • Owner or staff: anyone who owns, manages or works for the campground, or a competitor.
  • Abusive: threats, slurs, harassment.
  • Spam: ads, links, or reviews written for pay, discounts or other rewards.

Photos

Up to six photos per review, taken by you. Photos are resized in your browser, which strips hidden location data. No faces of other campers or license plates, please.

Campsite details

Site numbers, surface, level, hookups used and notes are visible only to signed-in campers.

Park managers

A verified manager can post one public response per review of their park. Managers can't review their own park and can't edit the listing. Fact corrections go through the park-owner page.

Edits, reports and removal

Editing an approved review sends it back for a quick check. Use Report on any review you think breaks these rules, or email campsitehq@gmail.com. You can delete your reviews or your whole account any time from your account page.
