The CORE 10-Person Lighted Instant Cabin Tent is well-built and self-contained, with numerous windows, two large doors, and numerous storage options.
Key features and advantages
- Setup is done in an instant.
- Cabin-style.
- Tent with lighting.
- Ventilated.
- 2 Rooms.
- There are seven large windows.
- Port for an ethernet cable.
- There are numerous storage elements.
So, what is the point of this?
The Core brand has made lighted tents as modified versions of their previously available tents for years. However, there is no non-lighted counterpart for the CORE 10-Person Lighted Instant Cabin Tent.
However, the design resembles their CORE Lighted 9-Person Instant Cabin Tent. It should also be noted that this tent should not be used with their CORE Lighted 10-Person Instant Cabin Tent with Screen Room.
This is a typical cabin-style tent with steep, straight walls and a high peak point of 78 inches (198 cm). The tent is fully freestanding, meaning it can support itself with its six legs.
The fly is small and only covers the ceiling. It attaches directly to the leg poles, and the clips are well-designed and simple to attach and detach from the bars. Because of this design, you can move and rotate the tent even when the fly is on.
The tent is officially a two-room structure. A detachable divider is attached via a series of toggles under the roof and on the sides. A central zipper in the centre lets you open it and attach the flaps to the sides.
Instant setup: You have an exceptionally sturdy frame with straight poles, the previously mentioned 6 legs, and roof poles of the same design. This is all pre-attached to the tent, so all you have to do is unfold it and extend its telescopic legs.
The official setup time is only 2 minutes. Press the release buttons on each leg pole when you want to collapse the tent. After that, fold it up, folding all six legs and then the central roof pole.
This can all be done by one person in a matter of minutes. This is why it is on my list of the best instant tents.
Integrated illumination
The main battery pocket is high on the ceiling and houses the battery box. It runs on 4D batteries and has three operating modes with varying light levels.
A switch is on the side wall, but remember that it is integrated inside and outside (as shown below). As a result, you can turn on the light even before entering the tent.

The inside switch is shown below. As you can see, the cables pass through the sleeve and connect to the previously mentioned battery box.

The lights are mounted on the tallest roof poles. The image below depicts how it appears when the light is turned on.

Windows and doors
There are four separate windows and three windows on the doors. The back room’s walls have three smaller windows. A massive window takes up the entire side wall of the front room.
There are two separate doors. One has a central inverted-T-shaped zipper, and the other is D-shaped. Both can be seen in the photos. These openings are double-layered, with mesh and zippered panels on the inside.
Materials
Because the frame is entirely steel, the structure is robust. There are 14 stakes: 6 for the tent’s base, 6 for the guylines, and 2 for the two vents, which must be staked out to be fully functional.
They need to give more information about the fabric. However, this is their standard H2O block technology, with heat-taped seams and 68D polyester durability. As is customary for their tents, the water-resistant evaluation is most likely 600 mm. This may appear small, but if the seams are properly sealed, you don’t need much; additionally, the tents from this brand are very reliable.
The floor appears to be polyethylene, and this appears to be a bathtub construction; take a look:

The carry bag is especially well-made, with two carry straps and a large enough capacity to accommodate the tent.
Ventilation
The ceiling is entirely mesh, as seen in the image below, and you’ve already noticed the mesh on the windows and doors.

But they continued: you also have two-floor vents with guylines and stakes. So the ventilation is as good as in a tent, and everything is nicely done.

Other characteristics
- You can hang a fan or anything else from the ceiling hooks.
- There are a couple of small pockets in the corners.
- A series of pockets have been added under the ceiling above the large double-wide door. This is an excellent storage area where you can keep many things out of the way.
- The same storage set is also above the back window, and it runs the entire width of the wall, exactly under the ceiling, as seen here:

- An E-cable port is available; here’s how it appears from the outside:

For whom is this CORE 10-Person Lighted Instant Cabin Tent intended?
Regarding capacity: The tent is officially designed for 10 people and has a surface area of 140 ft2 (13 m2). This equates to 14 ft2 (1.3 m2) per person, which is not much. As a result, it is best to reduce this to a 6 or so.
Regarding seasons and climate, this summer camping tent can only be used for two seasons in the warmer months. All windows and doors can be closed, but the ceiling is made of mesh, and this is not a structure designed for a cooler climate. I would also avoid windy areas and excessive rain.
Regarding weight: The tent weighs 47.8 lb (21.7 kg). It measures 49 x 16 x 11.5 inches (124 x 41 x 29 cm). So you realize the tent is long when loaded, and you’ll need a car to transport it.
Regarding the price, it is reasonable for such a well-designed tent with so many features.
