What this Coleman Valdes Deluxe 6 XL Air is about
This Coleman Valdes Deluxe 6 XL Air should not be confused with their other large tent with the word Valdes in its title, which is very distinct.
There is a tunnel-shaped shell tent as well as two inner tents here. One of the inner tents has a divider, allowing for three separate bedrooms. They are shown on the right in the floor plan below.

The central area is a living room, as shown in the image below. This is a big room that has multiple solid windows. On the opposite side, the bedrooms are partially visible. You may remove any inner tents to make the living room more significant.

There is also an extension with windows on the sides and a large door, as shown in the photo below. This space has no floor but is completely waterproof. The porch as it appears when completely closed is shown below. Take note of the side door in the living room. Because it has a brim, this is a dry entry point. The inner door that connects the porch to the living room is also fully protected and very large, with two solid windows on either side.

Design of blackout or dark rest
Coleman is a pioneer in this innovation, and the bedrooms are made of very dark material. It is claimed to block up to 99% of sunlight. In addition, they claim that the bedrooms are 5°C cooler during the day and 1°C warmer at night. So, this is the best example of a blackout design.
This is ideal for people who are sensitive to sunlight. It allows you to sleep for more extended periods, which benefits families with small children who must sleep during the day. Because of these characteristics, it is on my list of the best dark rest tents.
Support
The tent is held up by five TPU air beams that you inflate to 7.5 PSI. Everything inflates independently. This is known as FastPitch Air technology, allowing for quick pitching by a single person. A pump and a manometer are included. More can be seen in the video below.

Materials
The stakes and poles: The only solid bar is a short one that serves as the side overflowing. There are four different types of pegs and stakes included in the tent.
- To secure the tent’s base, you have large plastic pegs.
- Steel pegs are used to secure storm straps.
- Steel stakes in the shape of a J are used for guylines.
- Flat-head pegs provide barrier-free access to the inner porch door, as shown in the image below. This is ideal for children who are running around and want to avoid tripping.
The fabric: The shell is a fire-retardant polyester PU-coated shell. It has SPF50 UVGuard to protect you from the damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun. Seams are bound, and the waterproof rating is a whopping 4500 mm. The floor is welded and waterproof polyethylene with a rainskirt that is wholly integrated.

Ventilation
This tent has multiple vents, which can be seen above the windows in the living room if you look closely. However, there is one rear vent that spans the entire width of the tent. So, there is little to object to here.

Who is it intended for?
Regarding the area, the floored space of the tent is 244.3 ft2 (22.7 m2), and the maximum capacity is 6 people. This corresponds to 40.7 ft2 (3.78 m2) per person, which is fantastic.
There is, however, a fully closable front porch with 75.3 ft2 (7 m2). This is where you may prepare meals and store your equipment. As a result, the entire area under protection is 320 ft2 (29.7 m2). This is why it’s on my list of extra-large family camping tents.
The number of rooms determines the official capacity. The living room, on the other hand, is completely sealed and protected, and it measures 130.8 ft2 (12.15 m2). This space can accommodate an additional 6 people if necessary.
Also, each bedroom is 140 cm wide, indicating they are XXL bedrooms. They are intended to accommodate more extensive double-air beds.

Regarding seasons and climate, the tent provides complete protection in almost any weather condition. I wouldn’t use it in snowy areas because of the beams, but it will work well elsewhere.
It is large and heavy, but it has highly durable storm straps on its front and back. It is fully closable and has solid windows, making it ideal for a more relaxed environment. However, because it is well-ventilated, it can also be used for summer camping.
In terms of weight and packed size, this is a car camping tent that should be kept from the car. It weighs 84.7 lb (38.4 kg) and measures 30.7 x 22.8 x 20.9 inches (78 x 58 x 53 cm) when packed. But, given its size, such figures are to be expected, and the tent receives a high rating from me.
