    Key features and advantages

    • Freestanding.
    • 4 Doors.
    • There are two solid side windows.
    • There are two skylight windows.
    • Closes completely.
    • Beams that can be inflated.
    • Inflation at a single point.
    • Water-resistant evaluation is exceptionally high.

What is the point of this?

This Berghaus Air Shelter is also known as a screen house, a camping shed, or a floorless tent. The term shelter is used in the name, which makes sense given that it is fully closable and adaptable.

The framework stands alone, has a square foundation, is tall, and has excellent dimensions. The floor plan and some measurements are shown below.

    The floor plan and dimensions.

The walls are straight and steep, and the cabin-style framework is pleasant and spacious.

The doors are marked, so four have distinct designs. Two of them have solid windows accompanied by privacy panels. The other two are two-layer designs with full-size zippered mesh for ventilation and zippered panels.

There are also two solid skylight windows, as seen in the image below. It shows a view inside with some furniture to give you an idea of the size.

    Materials

The support: Inflatable air TPU beams support the tent, and the design is genuinely clever because there is only one inflation point. It has a spring-loaded, quick-release air valve that deflates with the press of a button. There is also a two-way double-efficiency stirrup pump with a gauge included.

The fabric: The shell is polyester with a 6000 mm water-resistant evaluation. This is more than most family camping tents on the market offer. The material is entirely fire retardant and has been tested to European EN 5912 safety standards.

The solid windows and the two skylight roof panels are most likely PVC, but they don’t reveal anything. It’s worth noting that they built this shelter in two different colours, as shown in the photos.

    Who is it intended for?

Is it possible to sleep in the Berghaus Air Shelter? This is a common question I hear. As a result, this is associated with its optimal use and area. With 97 ft2 (9 m2), you have enough space for four people with camping chairs and a small table.

I’ve positioned it on the site among screen houses and sheds, but this shelter is fully closable, just like any tent, as shown in the photo. It has an impressive water-resistant evaluation. You have complete protection from the elements and flying insects, so you can even use it as a tent and sleep in it. However, there is no floor here.

    Fully closable for complete protection.

However, I believe it is best suited as an annex next to your camping tent. This will provide a fantastic dining room and a fully secured space for storage. With four open and closed sides, you have several options for privacy and protection from the sun, rain, and wind.

    Versatile and easy to use.

Regarding the weight, It is on the heavy side at 25.4 lb (11.5 kg), but this is a camping item, so the weight isn’t a big deal. The packed size is perfect; it can be transported on a bicycle.

Regarding the price, it is a little high, but there are several sellers, links below, where you can check and compare.

It is adaptable and offers complete weather protection. Highly recommended. It is on my list of the best screen houses for camping, but it is much more than that.
